Tesla Offers Generous Promotions for Model Y Purchases in Australia

Tesla is currently offering a range of promotional incentives for buyers looking to purchase the Model Y in Australia, with these offers set to run through September 2025. The incentives aim to boost sales and clear out older stock, particularly ahead of the second half of the year.

For those financing a new Model Y, a $3,000 lending incentive is available until September 26, 2023. For buyers opting for a novated lease, a $3,000 novated lease incentive is available until September 20, 2023. Additionally, a $2,000 trade-in bonus is available for those trading in a used vehicle when purchasing a new or demo Model Y, with this offer remaining valid until September 30, 2025.

Tesla is also offering substantial discounts on inventory models, with price cuts of up to $11,000 on pre-refresh Model Y dual-motor Long Range and Performance variants. This means that some drive-away prices are now around $66,000 to $68,000 AUD depending on the state. The refreshed single-motor Model Y starts just under $65,000 drive-away in Victoria.

Tesla's lease deals for the 2025 Model Y start at $399 per month with a $3,000 down payment, and various eligibility-based discounts are available. These include $7,500 Tesla incentives and additional reductions for military members, first responders, teachers, students, and verified Lyft drivers.

In June 2023, Tesla delivered over 4,500 electric vehicles in Australia. Part of this drop is due to elevated sales of the refreshed Model 3 in Q1 of 2024 and the refreshed Model Y not starting sales until Q2 2025. Tesla needs to be selling around 4,000 cars a month from here on in to achieve its annual sales number of 38,347 by 2024.

The new offers aim to help move existing Tesla Model Y inventory and bring in new orders. Existing Tesla EV owners with enhanced autopilot or full-self-driving software can transfer it to a new or demo Tesla, saving up to $10,100 on full-self-driving software. This offer is available to owners taking delivery of the car by September 30, 2025.

With these generous promotions and discounts, the new and previous generation Model Ys are now more appealing to many current and future owners. Tesla has multiple new Model Y and Model 3 vehicles in stock, making it an exciting time for those considering an electric vehicle purchase in Australia.

Embracing the current promotions, owners might find the appeal of electric-vehicles, specifically Tesla's Model Y, enhanced due to the technological advancements and affordable pricing, with lifestyle benefits such as reduced emissions, making it an attractive choice for many in Australia. The technology-driven electric-vehicles, like the Model Y, are now accessible with discounts on both new and previous generations, providing a boost to those considering a switch from conventional cars.
