Hyundai Marks 40 Years of Sonata with Stellar Heritage Campaign
Hyundai Motor Company is marking the 40th anniversary of the Sonata with a special heritage campaign. The celebration, titled 'By Your Side - Stellar & Sonata', will feature a unique exhibition in Seoul, along with a range of merchandise and events for customers and enthusiasts.
The exhibition, running from September 25, 2025, to January 4, 2026, at Piknic in Seoul, will showcase a restored Stellar 88, Hyundai's second uniquely Korean passenger car introduced in 1983. The event also marks the beginning of Hyundai's mid-size sedan lineup.
Visitors can expect free admission, with discounted entry for Hyundai customers. Additionally, they can explore the nearby 'Hilton Seoul Autobiography' exhibition at a reduced price. To commemorate the occasion, Hyundai will publish 'People Magazine: Stellar & Sonata', a heritage magazine reflecting on the history of these iconic models and customer experiences. A book talk event for the magazine will be held at Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul on October 18, 2025.
The Sonata, which debuted in 1985 as the premium trim of the Stellar, has since evolved into one of Hyundai's most successful global models, with nearly 10 million units sold. Special merchandise, including the new People Magazine, notebooks, and postcards, will be available during the exhibition and at Hyundai stores.
The 'By Your Side - Stellar & Sonata' exhibition is more than just a celebration of Hyundai's past; it's a testament to the brand's commitment to its customers and the future of mobility. With free admission, discounted entry, and a range of merchandise, Hyundai invites everyone to join in commemorating this significant milestone.
