The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, Aito, jointly developed by Huawei and Seres Group, has announced the launch of an updated version of the Aito M7 SUV, set to hit the market in September 2025.
The updated Aito M7 BEV variants will be equipped with 100 kWh battery packs, offering a driving range exceeding 700 kilometers. These vehicles will utilize Huawei's high-voltage electric drive platform, renowned for its smaller size, lower weight, higher efficiency, and reduced noise.
Advanced smart driving capabilities will be featured in the BEV versions, including Huawei's ADS 4 system. This system is equipped with multiple sensors such as a roof-mounted 192-channel LiDAR, rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 cameras.
The vehicle dimensions will be approximately 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, with a 3,030 mm wheelbase. Seating options will include five-seat and six-seat layouts.
Regarding pricing, the current Aito M7 models range from RMB 249,800 to RMB 329,800 (about $34,740 to $45,850 USD), although the updated BEV variants' specific price range has not been disclosed yet.
In addition to the BEV variants, the updated Aito M7 will also offer EREV versions with battery pack capacities of 37 kWh and 53 kWh, allowing a combined electric and fuel range of over 1,600 km.
The updated Aito M7 entered the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's regulatory filing directory last week, marking its imminent arrival.
