The Japanese automotive giant, Honda, has announced its foray into the electric motorcycle market with the launch of its first mass-produced electric model, the WN7. The WN7, set to hit European roads from early 2026, promises to deliver performance comparable to a 600cc internal combustion motorcycle.

The full technical specifications of the WN7 will be unveiled at the EICMA in Milan on November 4, with a price tag of 15,379 euros. Those who place an order from a dealer before November 4 will receive a passenger seat bag for free.

The WN7 will come with two power variants: a 11 kW (15 PS) version and an 18 kW (24 PS) version. The more powerful 18 kW variant is designed for the A2 class. The 11 kW variant, on the other hand, is accessible to 16-year-olds and A1 driver's license holders, as well as PS4 owners.

One of the standout features of the WN7 is its battery, which is CCS2 compatible and can be charged from 20% to 80% in less than 30 minutes at a DC fast charger. At an AC wall box, the battery can be charged back to 100% in under three hours, depending on temperature. The WN7's battery promises a range of at least 130 km.

The WN7 weighs 217 kg, promising good acceleration. The rider will be seated on an 800 mm high saddle.

The WN7 features a five-inch TFT display with RoadSync connectivity and special EV menus, full LED lighting, Nissin brake calipers, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires. The design of the WN7 bears a distant resemblance to Honda's Hornet models. The WN7 prototype was displayed by Honda at last year's EICMA in Milan.

The WN7 will also boast a distinctive feature: two stacked headlights. The 'W' in the WN7 name stands for "Be the Wind
