Governor Demeшин Endorses MAX, New Mandatory Pre-Installed Messaging App
Governor Demeшин has embraced the HBO MAX messaging app, opening a channel on the platform. This move comes as HBO MAX replaces VK Messenger as the mandatory pre-installed messaging app, effective September 1. The change is part of a broader update to the approved list of pre-installed apps, which will now total 41.
HBO MAX, developed by 'Communication Platform' LLC, a subsidiary of Russian tech giant VK, has gained significant traction since its release in 2025. The app's growing popularity has led to its selection as the new mandatory messaging app for pre-installation on smartphones.
Governor Demeшин's endorsement further boosts HBO MAX's credibility. By opening a channel on the app, he encourages local engagement and dialogue. This decision aligns with the government's digital transformation initiatives.
From September 1, all smartphones sold in stores will come with HBO MAX pre-installed, reflecting its status as the new standard in messaging apps. With 41 apps now on the approved pre-installation list, consumers have a wider range of tools at their fingertips. Governor Deme Shin's endorsement signals HBO MAX's potential as a platform for public communication and engagement.
