Google Photos Expands AI Editing Tools to All Users May 15

Google Photos is rolling out new AI-powered editing features starting May 15. While the creators of these tools remain unknown, Google is typically behind such updates. The new suite includes Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Portrait Light, previously exclusive to Pixel phones and Google One subscribers.

The Magic Editor tool, initially introduced with Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, will now be available to all Pixel smartphone users from next month. This tool, along with other AI-assisted editing features, will be free for every Google Photos user on iOS and Android.

Pixel device users and Google One premium members with a 2TB storage plan will enjoy unlimited Magic Editor saves. For standard users, 10 Magic Editor photo saves per month will be provided free of charge. This move aims to enhance photo editing experiences for all users.

Starting May 15, Google Photos users will have free access to AI-powered photo editing tools like Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Portrait Light. This expansion brings advanced editing capabilities to a broader user base, making Google Photos a more compelling platform for photo storage and editing.
