Polus Aldan Gold Mining Company Boosts Efficiency with Modern Heavy-Duty Equipment
JSC "Polus Aldan", a gold mining company based in Russia, has taken a strategic step towards enhancing productivity by acquiring the latest models of excavators, dump trucks, and bulldozers. The new heavy-duty vehicles are designed to meet the highest industry standards in terms of quality and reliability.
According to Arkady Makrygin, the head of the mechanized mining operations section at the "Kuranaakh" mine, the company has already received 90-ton capacity dump trucks, with new graders arriving, and another bulldozer due shortly. Makrygin confirmed that no breakdowns have been recorded in the past four months, and the staff underwent on-the-job training before operating the new machinery.
Dmitry Korolchik, the head of the heavy-duty transport column, expressed optimism about the new equipment, noting that the assembly process is proceeding as planned, and dump trucks of this type have demonstrated reliability and fewer breakdowns compared to previous models.
In the coming weeks, manufacturers will conduct industrial testing at the "Kuranaakh" mine to assess the performance of the new machinery under the region's unique climatic conditions.
The new dump trucks are set to become the flagship of the enterprise's heavy-duty equipment. Ten such trucks are currently in the assembly phase, with each unit taking approximately five days to complete. Component parts are shipped separately, followed by on-site assembly.
