Starlink, Elon Musk's satellite internet service, experienced a global outage on July 24th at 9:13 p.m. Zim time. The outage affected millions of users worldwide, including major US cities, Canada, Europe, and Ukraine, impacting vital internet connectivity, including critical communications for the Ukrainian military.

The outage, lasting approximately 2.5 hours, was caused by a failure of key internal software services that operate the core network of the Starlink system. SpaceX engineers identified this software failure as the root cause of the disruption and worked to restore service within hours while continuing to investigate the issue to prevent future outages.
