Germany's Radar, Navigation, Remote Control Market Plunges in 2024

Germany's trade in radar devices, navigation aids, and remote control systems took a downturn in 2024. Exports and imports of these products plummeted, with significant impacts on production and consumption.

In 2024, exports of these products from Germany dropped to X units, marking a X% decrease from 2023 figures. In value terms, exports fell significantly to $X. Meanwhile, imports into Germany declined sharply to X units, down by X% on the previous year. The average import price per unit stood at $X, a X% reduction from 2023.

Hungary was the largest supplier to Germany, accounting for X% of total imports. Other key suppliers included Romania, the Netherlands, and Poland. Production in Germany also shrank to $X, reflecting the overall decline in the sector.

The decrease in exports and imports, along with the drop in production and consumption, signals a challenging year for the German market of radar devices, navigation aids, and remote control systems. Despite the setbacks, leading companies such as HENSOLDT, Diehl Defence, and Rohde & Schwarz continue to operate in the sector, indicating potential for recovery.
