Gap's 2024 Fashion Collaborations and Custom Designs Win Over Customers
Gap has been making waves in the fashion world this year, starting with two high-profile collaborations and a custom-designed dress for Anne Hathaway by Zac Posen.
The American retailer kicked off 2024 with a bang, launching a collection with Dôen and a capsule collection with Palace. Meanwhile, Gap's creative director, Zac Posen, has been busy reimagining the brand's classics with modern touches. He designed a custom white shirtdress for Anne Hathaway, which sold out in under six hours during its pre-sale at $158.
The dress, worn by Hathaway at the Bulgari Aeterna High Jewelry Event in Rome, features short cap sleeves that can be worn off-the-shoulder. Gap has not made the corset and shorts Hathaway wore with the dress available for purchase. Posen, who took over from Len Peltier in February, also designed a custom Gap couture denim gown for Da'Vine Joy Randolph for the Met Gala. Fans can look forward to a new collection of all-white summer apparel from Gap, set to release on May 29.
Gap's 2024 fashion collaborations and custom designs have been a hit with customers. The brand's new collection, set to drop later this month, is expected to continue this trend.
