Free AI Tool Now Available for OnePlus 13 Users

OnePlus, the renowned smartphone manufacturer, has introduced Plus Mind AI - a groundbreaking AI tool designed to help users manage and organise the vast amount of information they encounter daily. This innovative tool functions as a personal intelligence assistant, capable of capturing, analysing, and storing content with ease.

The activation of Plus Mind on OnePlus 13 and 13R devices is achieved by swiping up with three fingers on the screen, sending the current content (e.g., web pages, images, messages) for analysis. Once activated, Plus Mind uses AI to extract useful information, such as adding dates to calendars, summarising product details, and generating descriptions and tags for images.

The analysed content is stored in a hub called Mind Space, where users can access it through natural language searches or by swiping down from their home screen.

Plus Mind's current capabilities include AI-powered analysis and organisation, content translation, visual context recognition, and calendar integration. It can recognise key information such as dates and product details, translate text to the user's native language, understand the context of visual content, and generate relevant tags and descriptions.

Beyond its initial features, Plus Mind is part of OnePlus's broader AI strategy, which includes other tools like AI VoiceScribe, AI Translation, AI Search, AI Reframe, and AI Perfect Shot. These tools are designed to enhance user experience by leveraging AI in various aspects of smartphone usage, from content management to photography and translation.

OnePlus has started rolling out the Plus Mind AI tool to OnePlus 13 and 13R smartphones worldwide, although the rollout stages are not yet known. It may take a couple of weeks for the update to reach all OnePlus 13 and 13R handsets. Plus Mind is now available to users in more countries, including the US.

The Plus Mind AI tool functions similarly to Google Lens, storing important information in a dedicated memory box app called Mind Space. It can recognise products and places directly from the camera viewfinder, translate text in Instagram posts, and apply smart tags to articles for later reading.

In the future, Plus Mind will evolve into a proactive assistant, offering recommendations based on user activity. For example, it may suggest a taxi due to traffic to avoid being late for a flight. This is part of OnePlus's three-stage strategy for its AI ecosystem, which also includes the integration of Mind Space with Large Language Models (LLMs) to create a personalized AI persona - the second stage, known as 'Your Secondary Mind'.

The third stage, 'Your Personal Assistant', will further evolve the persona into a proactive assistant offering recommendations based on user activity. This marks a significant step in the integration of AI into everyday life, making managing information more seamless and efficient for OnePlus users.

Users can activate Plus Mind, the AI tool on OnePlus 13 and 13R smartphones, by swiping up with three fingers on the screen, sending the current content for analysis. This tool, similar to Google Lens, can store the analysed content in a hub called Mind Space, offering features such as content translation, visual context recognition, and calendar integration. Additionally, users can manage their smartphones' gadgets, like smartphones themselves, more efficiently with technological advancements like Plus Mind.
