First Glimpse of Elden Ring: Nightreign's Fresh Boss, Libra Night Creature Unveiled
Tackling Libra, Creature of Night in Elden Ring: Nightreign
Get ready to face off against Libra, one of Elden Ring: Nightreign's formidable Night Bosses! This beast is as chaotic as a raging inferno and as relentless as the Golden Order combined.
Bandai Namco US unveiled the first live gameplay footage of Libra during PAX East, showcasing a battle against three players who left us in awe of Libra's monstrous size and the tremendous health bars of the brave adventurers.
Nightreign's runs are deliberately short, and it's not just about battling the final boss. You'll first have to survive two "days," which allows you to level up attributes, collect loot, and practice your teamwork.
Starting at the outskirts of a new version of Limgrave, you'll journey toward the center, fighting bosses and minions along the way. Once you reach the center, there will be a random boss awaiting your challenge, but first, you must defeat Libra at the end of each day.
Libra is a terrifying spectacle, combining incantations reminiscent of the Frenzied Flame and Golden Order with swift melee attacks. It conjures an orb that shoots beams of light and a glyph that emits rapid light projectiles, making it a formidable adversary. To add to its arsenal, it summons massive area of effect fire spells that inflict madness on its foes.
Evade Libra’s melee attacks with precise dodges, and you'll have the perfect opportunity for counterattacks! Just be ready to roll when it starts raining fire from the sky, as battles against Libra are likely to be an exhausting, chaotic affair.
Besides Libra, other bosses joining the Nightreign roster include:
- Centipede Demon from Dark Souls
- Demi-Human Queen and Demi-Human Swordmaster from Elden Ring
- Morgott from Elden Ring
- Tricephalos: three-headed wolf
- Draconic Tree Sentinel from Elden Ring

- Wormface from Elden Ring
- Fire Monk from Elden Ring
- Flaming Chariots from Elden Ring
- Golden Hippopotamus from Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
- Godskin Apostle and Noble from Elden Ring
- The Nameless King from Dark Souls 3
There will likely be more bosses appearing throughout the run or at the end of each day, providing an engaging and diverse challenge for players.

To defeat Libra, Creature of Night in Elden Ring: Nightreign, follow these strategies:
- Dodge and Distance: Libra frequently jumps toward the player and performs large body charges. Dodge these attacks by roll-dodging away from Libra to avoid damage effectively.
- Avoid Frenzy Orbs and Sigils: Libra uses a staff to create frenzy magic orbs that explode on the ground and leaves sigils that detonate after a delay. Keep moving constantly to avoid standing in these areas and prevent frenzy buildup, which can quickly overwhelm you.
- Watch for Staff Slams: Libra performs slow but precise staff slams. These can be avoided by maintaining distance and timing your movements to dodge the delayed hits.

- Pre-fight Decisions: Before the fight, Libra offers deals that affect stats, which might influence your choice of build and approach. Choosing wisely may potentially improve your chances in the fight.
