FiiO Introduces SP5 Active Sound Speakers in the Market
FiiO, a leading manufacturer of high-quality audio products, has announced the launch of its latest offering - the SP5 active speaker system. The SP5 is designed to deliver stable, powerful, and detailed sound with user-friendly adjustments for various listening environments.
Key features of the SP5 include a dedicated 120-watt power supply for each speaker, ensuring consistent power delivery and reducing cross-channel interference, resulting in high sonic stability usually found in component systems. The speaker system uses an independent 4-channel amplifier design with a total output power of 160W RMS or 80W per speaker, efficiently handling power and providing clear sound separation.
The woofer of the SP5 is made from Rohacell, a high-end material used in premium speakers, ensuring ultra-low distortion and tight, responsive bass. The tweeter features a rear cavity-enhanced design to produce smooth highs without loss of detail.
The SP5 supports a wide range of inputs, including analog AUX, RCA, balanced XLR, and digital USB-C. This versatility allows connection to computers, hi-fi systems, and other audio sources. Built-in Bluetooth supports high-resolution audio streaming via LDAC and aptX Adaptive codecs.
Each input has independent volume memory and customized EQ settings, enabling sound adjustments per source that are remembered automatically. A physical 3-band EQ switch on the back of each speaker enables quick adjustments of treble, bass, and low bass to optimize sound depending on speaker placement. For more detailed tuning, users can utilize a 10-band EQ accessible via FiiO’s companion app on iOS and Android devices.
The SP5 comes with two Furukawa oxygen-free copper power cables, ensuring clean power delivery and maximum electrical conductivity. RGB LED indicators are featured on the SP5, with colors denoting input. The speaker system also has built-in trigger input support for syncing with gear.
The SP5 active speaker system will be available in September 2025, priced at $749/£709. With its audiophile-focused design, versatile connectivity, and finely tunable sound profiles, the SP5 is ideal for desktop and home studio listening.
