Step back in time with eyewitness accounts of National Socialism: This exciting venture is brought to us by the mobile exhibition "Is It Real?", hailing from Brandenburg and making its way across Germany. Attendees can virtually interact with Jewish survivors, as announced by the Brandenburg Society for Culture and History. The tour stops at the Brandenburg Gate in Potsdam until May 11th.

The exhibition sets up shop in a traveling truck, moving from place to place.with a VR headset, spectators have the opportunity to engage with five Jewish eyewitnesses — including 96-year-old Ruth Winkelmann. These survivors share their personal accounts and stories from the NS era.

As right-wing extremism and degradation of human dignity become increasingly prevalent and brazen, the need to preserve memories is more important than ever, according to publicist and patron of the tour, Michel Friedman.

Journey through East and West Germany

Following Potsdam, the mobile exhibition is set for Halle (Saale) (May 13-16), Zwickau (May 19-23), Erfurt (May 26-30), and Schwerin (June 2-6). Future stops in the western federal states are planned for the fall. The event is free to attend.
