Experience Bentley's Electric EXP 15 Concept: A Breathtaking and Daunting Glance into the Future

Bentley has revealed the EXP 15, an all-electric concept car that showcases the brand's design language for the future, electric powertrain technology, and new luxury mobility concepts. The EXP 15 draws inspiration from Bentley's iconic 1930 Speed Six "Blue Train," a three-seater grand tourer known for its racing heritage and long hood, low fastback roofline.

The EXP 15 sports an outré appearance, with a sleek, descending roofline, a long “endless” bonnet, and a rearward cabin placement, reminiscent of the Blue Train. However, the concept is thoroughly modern, signalling Bentley’s new design language for the future.

Key features of the EXP 15 include an asymmetrical three-door configuration, a unique 1+2 seating layout, and a luxurious, flexible interior that combines physical controls with digital interfaces. The interior boasts a swivelling rear passenger seat that can slide between standard rear, reclined “Relax,” and forward “Co-pilot” positions, enhancing passenger comfort and versatility.

The EXP 15 also offers a tailgate party feature, where the rear cargo area converts to an outdoor seating setup with deployable leather seats, integrated lighting, and a refrigerated compartment. Advanced design and technology elements include a modern interpretation of Bentley's iconic upright grille, all-electric all-wheel-drive drivetrain, and a digital-first interior developed with virtual reality tools.

The EXP 15's exterior resembles a hefty, blunt-nosed, high-riding, fastback coupe, similar to the all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre. Notable features include powerful rear fender "haunches" that flare out above the back wheels, a unique door configuration, and special storage bins for hand luggage or pet carriers that emerge from the floor when in the rearmost position.

The front of the EXP 15 is crested by a newly falcon-winged Flying-B logo and stylized hood ornament. The doors open without a B-pillar, enhancing ease of access and the overall aesthetic. The EXP 15's front features vertical, crying robot goat eyes, intricately perforated square nostrils, and a black mouth patterned with less-than (<) and greater-than (>) signs.

The EXP 15's interior features a mix of contemporary and retro-modern decor, including woolen textiles, silk jacquard, 3D-printed titanium trim pieces, and wood veneers. The centre console houses a horological ring of multifaceted digital/analog crystalline lights, known as the "Mechanical Marvel."

While the EXP 15 is not a direct preview of an upcoming production model, it serves as a visionary statement showcasing Bentley’s future styling language, electric powertrain technology, and new luxury mobility concepts. Many elements of the EXP 15 are expected to influence the brand’s first compact full-electric SUV arriving in 2026.

This move reflects the brand's commitment to adapting to the changing lifestyle and technological advancements in the finance and transportation sectors.
