The Atto 2 Boost model, on the other hand, offers a 51.1kWh battery, a 174bhp electric motor, and a range of up to 214 miles, along with features like 17'' alloys, a rotatable 12.8'' infotainment, wireless phone charging, V2L, and Voice Control. Order books for the BYD Atto 2 are now open, with Boost models arriving in September and Comfort models later in the year.
The Atto 2 Electric SUV is not just competing against budget EVs like the Hyundai Kona, but is aiming to challenge EVs from a bit further up the chain with its decent specs.
Other notable winners during the same season include the Porsche, Volvo, and BMW X3, which won awards in their respective categories. The Renault Scenic E-Tech was also voted European Car of the Year.
