Artemis Positive Future Equity Fund Launches in the EU

Artemis Investment Management has announced the launch of the Artemis Positive Future equity fund (ISIN: LU2342621906) in the European Union. This new fund, now available in Germany, focuses on investing in companies that contribute to positive environmental and social impact.

The fund's investment criteria include a thorough analysis of the positive impact of a company's products and services, its operational practices and standards, and its potential for future positive impact or capacity for improvement. The fund managers actively engage with investee companies on material Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues, aiming to drive positive change and see demonstrable improvements over time.

The Artemis Positive Future Equity Fund aligns with Article 9 of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), which covers funds with sustainable investment objectives. The fund intentionally targets investments with a clearly defined positive sustainability impact, growing capital through companies meeting positive environmental and social impact criteria and actively measuring and assessing sustainability impact as part of the investment process.

The fund's managers, Craig Bonthron, Neil Goddin, Jonathan Parsons, and Ryan Smith, bring a wealth of experience to the table. Previously, they managed the Aegon Global Sustainable Equity fund. Bonthron, in particular, manages a concentrated portfolio of 35 to 45 long-term positions. The fund primarily invests in mid-cap companies, offering a diversification opportunity in a sector that is often dominated by large-cap investments.

The Artemis Positive Future Equity Fund aims to include companies that actively shape economic and social transformation within their industry. The fund managers are committed to investing in firms that are actively shaping a sustainable economic and social transformation, fulfilling both ethical and regulatory sustainability demands.
