Etsy Boosts Seller Experience with AI Tools and New CPO
Etsy has been busy updating its platform and introducing new tools to enhance seller experience. The company recently appointed Rafe Colburn as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer, and has rolled out several AI-powered features to aid sellers in managing their shops and improving sales.
Etsy's latest updates include a revamped dashboard that provides real-time notifications for shipping orders, customer messages, and listing management. This comes after an April enhancement that sped up load time and improved accessibility of statistics and order information.
The e-commerce giant has also introduced an AI-powered writing assistant to help sellers draft personalized replies to buyers using shop details. Additionally, Etsy has debuted a listing title tool that offers real-time feedback and bulk editing options, ensuring search-optimized, buyer-friendly product titles.
In July, Etsy reported a 5.4% decline in gross merchandise sales year over year to $2.4 billion. Despite this, the company continues to invest in AI-powered tools to help sellers promote products and run their businesses more efficiently. Etsy is developing a new policy violations page and redesigning its community hub with AI-powered search for sellers.
Rafe Colburn took over the expanded role of Chief Product and Technology Officer on Monday, September 8, 2025, following the departure of former Chief Product Officer Nick Daniel. Etsy's AI tools aim to help sellers complete daily tasks faster and improve shop performance, demonstrating the company's commitment to supporting its sellers and driving growth.
