Enhanced Mobile Phone Coverage in Main-Kinzig district by Telekom

In a move to enhance mobile connectivity, Deutsche Telekom is expanding its mobile network coverage in the Main-Kinzig district. The expansion aims to provide more bandwidth overall and improve indoor reception.

Deutsche Funkturm, the company responsible for building Telekom's mobile network sites, has plans to upgrade LTE or 5G for 79 radio masts in the district. This includes the municipalities of Birstein and Maintal, where one existing site has already been expanded with LTE. Additionally, two new sites have been built in the district in the past two months.

Telekom currently operates 149 sites in the Main-Kinzig district, with plans to add 57 more by 2026. These new sites will be leased through cooperation with municipalities or property owners. Interested parties can contact Deutsche Funkturm for leasing a site for a rooftop or mast location at www.dfmg.de/standortangebot.

Julia della Peruta, corporate spokesperson for Deutsche Telekom, stated that the company is maintaining its momentum in mobile network expansion due to increasing bandwidth demand. Telekom builds around 1,500 new mobile network sites each year.

The new site in Maintal serves the railway lines Frankfurt-Hanau and Frankfurt-Würzburg, ensuring reliable connectivity for passengers. The expansion of mobile network coverage in the district has also increased the coverage area.
