Deutsche Funkturm, the company responsible for building Telekom's mobile network sites, has plans to upgrade LTE or 5G for 79 radio masts in the district. This includes the municipalities of Birstein and Maintal, where one existing site has already been expanded with LTE. Additionally, two new sites have been built in the district in the past two months.
Telekom currently operates 149 sites in the Main-Kinzig district, with plans to add 57 more by 2026. These new sites will be leased through cooperation with municipalities or property owners.
