Electrical vehicle brand, VWN, broadens its lineup of electric transporters.

The new electric Volkswagen Transporter series is making waves in the market, offering a range of configurations to suit various goods and passenger transport needs. With pricing in the €51,500-€52,200+ net range for panel vans, the Transporter series promises a robust electric powertrain delivering up to 286 hp and an electric range of up to approximately 353 km[3][5].

The Transporter van lineup includes the Kastenwagen, Kastenwagen Plus, and the Transporter pickup with double cab. The Kastenwagen and Kastenwagen Plus are panel vans designed for combined cargo and passenger transport, while the pickup variant offers a large loading area.

The Kastenwagen Plus, starting at €51,585 net (€61,386.15 gross), features a single front row with one or two passenger seats, plus a three-seat bench behind, offering 5-6 seats total. It includes a plastic partition with a window separating the load area and sliding door(s) for access. It comes standard with a short 3.10 m wheelbase or optionally a 3.50 m wheelbase, with all power output levels available for both[3].

The Kastenwagen with L-shaped partition wall, while not explicitly detailed, is likely to share similar features and pricing with the Kastenwagen Plus, given that the Kastenwagen variant typically features configurations optimized for cargo separation and can include partition walls.

The electric Transporter models feature a 64 kWh battery with three power output options: 100 kW (136 hp), 160 kW (218 hp), and 210 kW (286 hp). The range of the e-Transporter Kastenwagen Plus varies between 279 and 353 kilometers depending on the equipment[3][5].

Notable specs for the series include the battery positioned in the floor for optimized space, wheelbase options affecting cargo capacity and range, and multiple output levels allowing buyers to balance power and efficiency. The expected electric driving range aligns with competitors like the Ford Transit Custom (~209 miles).

The Transporter van Plus is offered in an "Edition" version, distinguished by 17-inch light-alloy wheels and a black-painted roof. The Transporter with a 5-year warranty is available in Germany.

In addition, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has expanded the new Transporter generation with three new variants: the Transporter pickup with double cab and large loading area, the Transporter panel van Plus for combined cargo and passenger transport, and the panel van with an L-shaped partition wall in the cargo area, based on the panel van Plus.

The pickup with double cab can now be ordered with electric drive in power stages of 100 kW/136 PS, 160 kW/218 PS, or 210 kW/286 PS. The payload of the electric version of the Transporter pickup is up to 785 kg, and the towing capacity is up to 2,000 kg.

A fully electric version of the Transporter Kombi and e-Caravelle are also available, with prices starting at €52,740 net (€62,760.60 gross) for the e-Transporter Kombi. The Transporter pickup with double cab is available from €52,208 net (€62,127.52 Euro gross).
