Electric SUV model E07, manufactured by Deepal, to arrive in Australia for the first time as initial shipment is en route.
Australians who have pre-ordered the Deepal E07 electric SUV can look forward to receiving their vehicles in late August or early September, as the first batch of these innovative vehicles is en route to Australian ports.
The Deepal E07, a new brand to Australia from Changan, promises a unique blend of power, luxury, and practicality. With its launch in Australia scheduled for Q3 2025, the E07 is poised to make a significant impact on the Australian electric vehicle market.
Riz Akhtar, the founder of carloop and a mechanical engineer with a passion for EVs, has been instrumental in bringing the E07 to Australia. Akhtar, who currently drives a red Tesla Model 3, aims to reduce transport emissions in Australia.
The E07 offers a spacious and modular cabin, designed with lounge-style luxury, and features such as ultra-fast charging, zero-gravity seats, and a "SUV-ute transformer" capability. The SUV also boasts a large heads-up display, a 15.4-inch floating central infotainment touchscreen that can rotate left or right by 15 degrees, and an active air intake intelligent grill that improves aerodynamics and battery cooling.
The E07 comes in two variants: a single-motor rear-wheel-drive model and a top-spec all-wheel-drive dual-motor variant. The RWD variant delivers 252 kW of power and 365 Nm of torque, with a starting price of $64,900 AUD before on-roads. The AWD dual-motor variant delivers an impressive 440 kW of power and 645 Nm of torque, with a starting price of $73,900 AUD before on-roads.
Both variants feature an 89.98 kWh Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt (NMC) battery pack and a double-layered glass cabin for a quieter ride. The RWD variant can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and has a NEDC range of 642 km, while the top-spec AWD dual-motor variant can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a NEDC range of 626 km.
The E07's air conditioning system includes automatic air circulation control through a PM 2.5 plasma air purifier, ensuring a clean and fresh cabin environment. The SUV also offers modern features not commonly found in traditional utes or family SUVs, such as a 300 kg payload in the bed and a tailgate that folds flat.
Pre-order holders can anticipate their Deepal E07 electric SUVs arriving and starting delivery from late August 2025 onwards. The first right-hand drive batch is on its way, according to an update from the local General Manager, Cormac Cafolla. With its blend of power, luxury, and practicality, the Deepal E07 is set to revolutionise the Australian electric vehicle market.
As the first batch of Deepal E07 electric SUVs, a blend of power, luxury, and practicality, nears Australian shores in late August or early September, tech-savvy Australians eagerly await these vehicles. The E07's features such as fast charging, zero-gravity seats, and a large touchscreen, combined with its spacious cabin and modern air purification system, align perfectly with trends in contemporary lifestyles and gadgets.
