Dubai's Food Industry Booms: Kesar & Haldiram's Launch Major Saffron Plant in Jafza
A significant development in Dubai's food industry is set to commence in March 2025. Kesar Expert & Packers, in collaboration with Haldiram's, will initiate operations at a substantial saffron processing facility within Jafza.
The facility's strategic location in Jafza allows it to leverage the zone's robust infrastructure and proximity to Jebel Ali Port, a key logistics hub. Initially, the plant will have a processing capacity of 30 metric tonnes, with a planned expansion to 100 metric tonnes over five years, reflecting a commitment to growth and scalability.
To ensure the highest standards, the plant will secure European BRCGS certification for quality and purity. This certification will not only meet but exceed industry benchmarks, demonstrating a dedication to excellence. The partnership between Kesar Expert & Packers and Haldiram's is expected to extend beyond this project, with potential future collaborations such as expanding Haldiram's presence in Dubai and further investments.
The upcoming saffron processing facility in Jafza, a joint venture between Kesar Expert & Packers and Haldiram's, is poised to contribute to Dubai's growing prominence as a global trade hub, particularly in the food and beverage sector. With over 770 F&B companies already in Jafza, this new facility is set to further bolster the zone's reputation and economic significance.
