Digital Trump brand expansion: Trump Organization secures TRUMP trademark for a virtual world featuring a digital asset marketplace

In the ever-evolving world of technology, the concept of virtual worlds continues to captivate innovators, despite a decline in the popularity of the term "metaverse" over the past couple of years. Leading tech giants, such as Apple, are spearheading the innovation in this field.

Recently, DTTM Operations LLC, the entity that controls all trademarks for the Trump Organisation, has filed a new Trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for "TRUMP". The filing indicates plans for future commercial activity, including a TRUMP-branded virtual world.

This virtual world will offer a range of products and services, including TRUMP-branded clothing, shoes, and hats for users to purchase and wear. But that's not all; the platform will also extend into education and professional development, providing TRUMP-branded training services with a focus on public service, business, civics, fundraising, real estate, construction, and hospitality management.

The marketplace within this virtual world will be authenticated using non-fungible tokens (NFTs), as stated in the filing. This move aligns with the growing trend of using NFTs to authenticate digital assets.

It's important to note that the latest relevant updates involving President Trump do not mention or pertain to any Trump-branded metaverse platform, virtual worlds, or digital environments offering consumer-facing metaverse products or services. However, President Trump has shown an interest in digital assets and NFTs, having sold multiple series of NFTs before his re-election in November 2020 and later launching a memecoin.

As of August 2025, no publicly known Trump-affiliated metaverse project or digital product line has been reported in the available sources. Nevertheless, the filing with an "intent to use" basis suggests that the Trump Organisation is exploring the potential of the metaverse in the future.

  3. While there's no public news about a Trump-branded metaverse project, the filing indicates an interest in the metaverse, aligning with President Trump's past involvement in digital assets and NFTs.
