Cora Kelly School Transformed by Rebuilding Together DC - Alexandria and Home Depot
Cora Kelly School for Math, Science and Technology has undergone significant upgrades. Rebuilding Together DC - Alexandria and Home Depot joined forces to transform the school at 3600 Commonwealth Avenue, Alexandria.
The project involved various improvements. Volunteers from Home Depot painted walls and tackled minor construction tasks. They also rebuilt the school's library and assembled new furniture. The organization, Rebuilding Together DC - Alexandria, has been serving the community since 1986. It has provided over $350,000 in labor and materials to local homeowners in need. The upgrades were part of their ongoing efforts, with many similar projects taking place annually on National Rebuilding Day in April.
The Cora Kelly School for Math, Science and Technology now boasts a refreshed look and improved facilities, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Rebuilding Together DC - Alexandria and Home Depot volunteers.
