Construction giant Rana Group planning $10 billion investment in cutting-edge production facility within the United Arab Emirates
In the heart of the Al Ghail Industrial Area in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, a transformative project is underway. The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub, valued at a staggering $10 billion, is set to redefine the region's industrial landscape.
The Rana Group, an Indian conglomerate, will own and manage more than half of the 150 industries at the hub, which spans over 25 million square feet of industrial space. The exact identity of the company operating the remaining 50 industries has not been publicly disclosed.
The hub, hosted by the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), aims to create 4,000 jobs and focus on advanced industries, including electric and hydrogen vehicles, eVTOL flying taxis, semiconductor production, and renewable energy technologies.
Dr. Darshan Rana, Chairman and Managing Director of Erisha E Mobility, stated that the project will stand at the forefront of the green energy revolution. The hub's success could boost the UAE's contribution to its $483 billion GDP and position Ras Al Khaimah as a key center for industrial innovation and economic growth.
The manufacturing hub, expected to be completed within five years, is one of the UAE's largest industrial investments. It is anticipated that some units will start production within a year, providing Indian manufacturers a strategic base in the UAE to export to the US, bypassing higher tariffs.
The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub is not just an industrial project; it integrates commercial, residential, and community facilities, including hospitals, colleges, shopping complexes, banks, and warehouses. The hub's goal is to strengthen the UAE's manufacturing sector and establish the UAE as a center for sustainable, high-tech manufacturing.
Project partners include Capital Engineering Design, GHV Infra, N3XUS, and AINS Group. The hub is expected to strengthen bilateral economic ties between India and the UAE and reduce the UAE's dependence on imports.
The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub poses an exciting opportunity for the UAE, promising to reshape its industrial sector and contribute significantly to its economy. As construction progresses, the region eagerly awaits the hub's completion and the start of a new era in manufacturing and innovation.
