CityFibre Hits 730,000 Connections, Doubles Q3 Customers

CityFibre, a leading UK full-fibre infrastructure provider, has marked a significant milestone in its growth journey. CEO Simon Holden recently described the business as having reached an inflection point, reflecting its substantial progress and potential.

CityFibre's customer base has surged to around 730,000 connections, fuelled by partnerships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Notably, Sky Broadband launched its services across CityFibre's network in July, contributing to this growth. However, specific details about Sky's ISP partners on CityFibre's network in July 2025 are not publicly available.

The company has also expanded its offerings, introducing a 5.5GB wholesale product. Financially, CityFibre secured a £2.3 billion financing package in July, demonstrating investor confidence in its prospects.

In the third quarter of 2025, CityFibre's customer connections nearly doubled, reaching 108,000. This impressive growth translated into a Q3 revenue of £43 million, with an annualised run rate of £172 million. The company's adjusted EBITDA for the quarter hit £7.6 million, with an annual run rate of £30 million, reflecting its improving financial health.

CityFibre's Q3 2025 results and the completion of its 10Gb XGS-PON upgrade ahead of schedule underscore the company's progress and commitment to delivering high-speed, reliable connectivity. With a strong financial backing and growing customer base, CityFibre is well-positioned to continue its expansion and capitalise on the increasing demand for full-fibre networks.
