The BYD Han L, a recent addition to BYD's motor development portfolio, has been making waves with its impressive performance specifications, particularly in its BEV variant.

On January 7, a development team was awarded top prize and RMB 10 million yuan ($1.36 million) by a company other than BYD for motor development, underscoring the company's commitment to innovation.

The Han L comes equipped with two BEV versions and two PHEV versions, each with distinct model numbers. The BEV variants include the BYD7002ACBEV4, which is equipped with dual electric motors, and the BYD7002ACBEV5, powered by a single electric motor with a peak power of 500 kW. The PHEV versions, on the other hand, are powered by an engine with a displacement of 1,498 ml and a peak power of 115 kW.

The motor for the Han L is produced by BYD itself, while the battery is powered by lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries from BYD's battery division FinDreams Battery.

Performance-wise, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version of the BYD Han L BEV stands out. This variant boasts a combined power output of up to **810 kW (1,102 horsepower)**. It can accelerate from **0 to 100 km/h** in just **2.7 seconds** and go from **100 to 200 km/h** in **4.74 seconds**. The vehicle's top speed exceeds **305 km/h**.

Unfortunately, the specific peak power output of each individual motor in the dual-motor setup is not detailed in the available information. However, the performance specifications highlight the vehicle's powerful acceleration capabilities and high speed.

The BYD Han EV, a single-motor front-drive model with a peak motor power of up to 180 kW, is also part of the Han L lineup. It is currently on sale for around RMB 200,000.

The Han L, with a wheelbase of 2,970 mm and weighing between 2,095 kg and 2,466 kg, is included in China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's latest catalog for models to be sold for public comment. The public feedback period for the BYD Han L is from January 11-17.

The Han L has a length of 5,050 mm, width of 1,960 mm, and height of 1,505 mm, making it a sleek and aerodynamic vehicle. The "2.7S" printed on the rear of the car suggests that it can accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, further emphasizing its impressive performance capabilities. The Han L also supports a top speed of 270 kilometers per hour.

These performance specifications position the BYD Han L as a strong contender in the electric vehicle market, demonstrating the company's dedication to creating efficient and powerful vehicles.
