Messe Bremen introduces a novel approach, defying convention amidst a decline in traditional formats.

In the heart of Bremen, Germany, the upcoming autumn season promises a festive and exciting atmosphere, as the city's traditional fairs prepare for a revitalised and innovative lineup. Among the anticipated events is HerbstZeit, a new concept that will bring together four unique events under one roof, each with its distinct profile.

HerbstZeit, designed as a cosy indoor country party, is set to debut in 2024, marking a significant addition to Bremen's autumn festivals. The event will feature a focus on fashion, jewellery, lifestyle, interior design, and decoration, providing visitors with a wealth of shopping opportunities.

Culinary delights and gastronomy will also play a significant role in HerbstZeit, with renowned personalities such as Raheem Haidar, winner of the SAT1 baking show "Das Große Backen," and Maria Jost, a Bremen-based cake maker, set to attend. The event will showcase a variety of culinary experiences, offering visitors a taste of the city's vibrant food culture.

The revival of HerbstZeit and the completion of the Bremen autumn fairs with the revived Kreativ + Spiel marks a new chapter for the city's event scene. HanseLife, once one of Germany's largest consumer fairs, emerged as a flagship of Bremen's trade fairs in 2007, following the guest event HAFA. However, the Covid pandemic led to lasting changes in leisure behaviour and the dynamics of online retail, prompting the operators to further develop HanseLife and create something new from its core.

Kerstin Renken, head of public fairs at M3B GmbH, stated that HanseLife was navigated safely through the pandemic by actively incorporating these changes. The new concept consists of four events under one roof, each with its own profile, aiming to cater to a wider audience and provide a more immersive experience.

Two of the events, TrauZeit and GrillGut, were already independent formats within HanseLife. TrauZeit, a wedding fair, and GrillGut, a food festival, will continue to be part of the autumn festivals, offering visitors a chance to explore various themes such as weddings, food, creativity, and play activities.

Bremen is known for its vibrant festival scene, particularly with the Freimarkt, one of Germany's oldest fairs, dating back to 1035. The city's festivals feature roller coasters, fair food, costumed parades, and beer halls, highlighting its cultural and festive atmosphere. For detailed information on the specific events mentioned, it might be helpful to look into local Bremen event calendars or official announcements from the city's event organisers.

As the autumn season approaches, Bremen's event organisers are taking a bold step forward with HanseLife, aiming to redefine the city's festive landscape and provide visitors with an unforgettable experience. With the upcoming debut of HerbstZeit, the city's autumn fairs are set to offer a unique blend of tradition and innovation, promising a festive and exciting atmosphere for all.

At HerbstZeit, attendees can expect a fusion of fashion, lifestyle, and gastronomy, as it offers shopping opportunities in fashion, jewellery, interior design, and decoration, along with a variety of culinary experiences showcased by renowned personalities such as Raheem Haidar and Maria Jost. Additionally, the technology sector will have a prominent role in the event, as HanseLife, a flagship of Bremen's trade fairs, aims to cater to a wider audience and provide a more immersive experience, integrating innovation into the city's traditional festival scene.
