Berlin-Lichtenberg's €500M Van Caem Park Leads Major Development Push
Berlin-Lichtenberg is witnessing significant development with three major construction projects underway along the federal road B1. The most notable is Harry van Caem's €500 million commercial project, 'Van Caem Park', planned near Lichtenberg station. Van Caem Park, spanning approximately 39,000 square meters, aims to provide space for around 3,600 workplaces. The project, with a total investment of €500 million, is expected to be completed in 36 months. Despite extensive searches, the owner of this news project remains unknown. Meanwhile, HOWOGE has completed the 64-meter-high residential tower 'Liese' on Frankfurter Allee 218. The tower, standing directly at the Lichtenberg Bridge, offers 394 apartments, with half designated as subsidized housing. Its excellent connectivity, with nearby S-Bahn, tram, and regional transport connections, makes it an attractive residential option. At the corner of Frankfurter Allee 204-206 and Buchberger Straße, the Scharfstein Group is constructing a new office building. The first three floors are already in place, with the building set to offer up to 18,000 square meters of office space. Notably, the building will include a garage with a separate exit ramp for cyclists. These projects, including Van Caem Park, Liese, and the new office building, indicate a significant investment in Berlin-Lichtenberg's development. They promise to bring new jobs, housing, and infrastructure to the area, further enhancing its appeal.
