Believ Partners with Church of England to Expand EV Charging in UK
Believ, a leading provider of electric vehicle charging networks, has secured a significant framework agreement with the Church of England (CoE) and the Church in Wales (CiW). This collaboration aims to expand publicly accessible charging infrastructure, supporting both organisations' net-zero goals by 2030.
Under this agreement, Believ will supply EV charging infrastructure to all eligible properties, including churches, schools, and village halls with car parks on land owned by the CoE and CiW. This tender covers around 18,000 properties under the Parish Buying Service's jurisdiction.
Kevin Ledger, Believ's senior business partnerships manager, sees this deal as a stepping stone to accelerate the rollout of publicly accessible charging points. He believes it will connect rural communities to EV charging, fostering a greener future.
Believ's framework agreement with the CoE and CiW is set to boost the availability of EV charging points, particularly in rural areas. This initiative aligns with both organisations' sustainability goals and is expected to benefit communities by making electric vehicle usage more convenient.
