Belarus Boosts Mobile Services Nationwide with New Resolution

The Belarusian government has approved Resolution No. 540, aiming to create equal conditions for all electricity operators. This includes equal access to a unified 4G/5G network, a move set to boost mobile services nationwide.

Minister Kirill Zaleski noted that Belarus has low tariffs for mobile services, especially for unlimited internet. To improve internet quality, the government plans to increase network coverage and speed. By 2030, the average data transmission speed should reach 135 Mbps in Minsk and regional centers, 110 Mbps in district centers, and 30 Mbps in other areas.

The resolution aims to cover 95% of the country's territory by 2025 and 99% by 2030 with mobile services. In 2024, operators built over 4,000 new base stations, increasing the total to over 40,000, with plans to reach 45,000 by the end of 2025. The unified infrastructure operator, 'Belarusian Cloud Technologies', will provide equal access to the unified network for all electricity operators.

The Belarusian government's Resolution No. 540 seeks to enhance mobile services nationwide. With increased network coverage and speed, and equal access for electricity operators, the country aims to provide improved internet quality and connectivity by 2030.
