PropHero Secures €2.5 Million Funding for Spanish Expansion

PropHero, an Australian proptech firm specialising in digital tools for remote buyers and portfolio builders, has secured €2.5 million in funding to bolster its liquidity and fuel its growth in Spain. The investment, provided by BBVA Spark and the European Investment Fund under the InvestEU program, will enable PropHero to double its business volume in Spain by the end of 2025.

The funding aligns with BBVA Spark's strategy to back scalable, high-growth proptech firms like PropHero. BBVA Spark's Head in Spain, Miguel Ángel Alcalá, stated that PropHero is the kind of digital, ambitious company BBVA Spark aims to back. The investment will support PropHero's growth objectives by providing flexible startup lifecycle banking and structured finance solutions critical for tech-driven companies with global ambitions.

PropHero's co-founder, Pablo Gil, considered the investment as fundamental to the company's plans for growth and meeting demand for digital real estate solutions. The company currently serves over 10,000 active users across four countries, focusing on scaling in Spain as a strategic market.

PropHero's platform uses AI and data analytics to help users make smarter property investments. By doubling its business volume in Spain by 2025, PropHero plans to expand its AI-driven platform, which uses data-driven tools to democratize real estate investment.

The European Investment Fund supports the deal under the InvestEU programme, further underscoring the EU's commitment to backing innovative startups. This investment in PropHero is another example of EU financial support boosting innovative startups through the InvestEU programme.

BBVA Spark's tailored approach provides services from basic banking to venture debt, helping fast-growing companies like PropHero scale globally from Spain. With this investment, PropHero, which was founded in Australia, has relocated its headquarters to Spain, signalling its commitment to the Spanish market.

As PropHero embarks on its major expansion in Spain's housing market, it aims to meet the rising demand for digital real estate investment services. The funding is part of PropHero's strategic growth plan, which centers on accelerating its expansion in Spain.
