Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates Unveils SG-22, First Blockchain-Authenticated Amp

Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates is back with a new creation, the SG-22, a tube amp head and cabinet released under his Synner brand. Priced at $1,199, it's packed with features and comes with 20,000 Deathbat Reward points.

The SG-22 is a 175-watt head designed for use with pedalboards and rack-mount effects. It's the first amplifier to be authenticated on the blockchain. The amp is developed by Gates alongside engineer Don Morris. It features a clean, transparent, high-headroom preamp and comes with two built-in power supplies, 9-volt DC and 18-volt DC, to free up space on your pedalboard.

The SG-22 boasts a post-preamp effects loop with Line Level and Instrument Level modes, catering to both rack effect systems and pedalboards. It houses three 12AX7A / ECC83 tubes and two 6V6GT tubes, driving a Celestion V-Type 12 speaker in its open-back cab.

The SG-22 is not just an amplifier; it's a testament to Gates' passion for tone and innovation. Alongside his signature distortion pedal, the Original Syn, set to feature on Avenged Sevenfold's upcoming album, the SG-22 is poised to make waves in the guitar world. With its unique features and Gates' involvement, it's an exciting addition to any guitarist's setup.
