Authorities Impose Penalties on LPI-G for Multiple Traffic Violations Following Brief Flight
In the heart of Gera, on August 22, 2025, an unexpected incident unfolded. At around 1:15 PM, a 37-year-old man was apprehended by local police officers in the Otto-Rothe-Straße area.
The officers initiated proceedings for violations of the compulsory insurance law and the road traffic regulations. The man, who was riding a pocket bike at the time, was unable to present a valid driver's license and was found to be in possession of an uninsured vehicle.
During the course of the investigation, a blood draw was conducted, and a drug test administered to the man was reportedly positive, indicating the presence of illegal substances. The pocket bike seized from the man is currently in the possession of the Gera Police Inspectorate.
The man attempted to evade control but was later caught. His case is being handled by the Gera Police Inspectorate, led by Thomas Lenk, who took over as the head of the inspectorate in April 2025.
