Atomics in Contemporary Science to Exhibit All Motorized Shade Motors at the CEDIA Expo
Modern Atomics Unveils AI-Enhanced Power Distribution Units for Motorized Window Shades
Modern Atomics, a Texas-based tech startup, is making waves in the smart home industry with its innovative power distribution units (PDUs) for motorized window shades. The company's latest offerings, Neutron, Collider, and Tokamak, are designed to revolutionize the way homes and businesses manage their motorized shades.
Neutron: Broader Compatibility and Energy Efficiency
Neutron is an enhanced version of Modern Atomics' original Reaktor PDU. This new product expands compatibility beyond Somfy motors to include Lutron, Crestron, and Matter, making it easier to integrate into diverse smart building ecosystems. Neutron's AI technology reduces wasted power, leading to energy savings.
Collider: Future-Proof PoE Support
Collider is a half-rack, 1-kilowatt, 16-port Gigabit bt++ switch designed for Power over Ethernet (PoE) motors. It features redundant AC and solar power options, self-power regeneration, and energy storage for up to three weeks. Each of its 16 ports can deliver 90 watts of power simultaneously. Installation requires no networking expertise.
Tokamak: Scalability and Simplified Wiring
Tokamak is a dual-purpose power supply that drives up to 10 shades (485 or RF motors). It can work standalone or integrate into large systems supporting up to 192 shades by powering up to eight PDUs and reducing the need for multiple DC injectors. Like its counterparts, Tokamak also benefits from Modern Atomics' AI technology, which significantly reduces idle current waste.
Each of these products leverages Modern Atomics' AI-enhanced power management technology, which can save substantial electrical consumption per shade annually, with savings up to 99.75% idle power reduction noted for the Reaktor platform, the foundation of Neutron and Collider.
These products are showcased at the CEDIA Expo and are featured at BTX Intelligent Fashion (4404), Draper at Home (3720), Screen Innovations (2533), and Wolf Drapery (C1120). For more information, visit www.modernatomics.com.
