Apple TV App Expands to Samsung Smart TVs This Spring, More Platforms Coming Soon
Apple is expanding its TV app's reach this spring, bringing it to Samsung smart TVs. More platforms, including Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony, and VIZIO, will follow. The revamped app arrives on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac later this year.
Starting this spring, Samsung smart TV owners can enjoy the Apple TV app. More platforms, like Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony, and VIZIO, will join later. The all-new Apple TV app comes to iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac with a free software update in May and the fall, respectively.
The redesigned app will launch in over 100 countries. In May, users in the US, Canada, Australia, and other select regions can enjoy the update. Apple TV+ and channel subscriptions can be shared via Family Sharing. AirPlay 2 support will enable direct content streaming from iPhone or iPad to eligible smart TVs later this year.
