Anticipated Highlights for Google's Pixel 10 Launch on August 20

On August 20, 2025, Google is set to host its annual Made by Google event in New York. This year, the tech giant is expected to unveil an exciting lineup of products, including the Pixel 10 series, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a.

The Pixel 10 series, which includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the highly anticipated Pixel 10 Pro Fold, will be powered by the new Tensor G5 chip. Manufactured by TSMC, this chip promises better thermal management and improved power efficiency.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google's foray into the foldable phone market, is expected to be slightly narrower but 0.1mm thicker when unfolded compared to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7. It will also feature a 5,150 mAh battery, ensuring excellent battery life.

In the wearable technology sector, Google is expected to introduce the Pixel Watch 4. Available in two sizes, the watch will come with smarter health and productivity functionalities. Notably, the smaller 41mm model will feature an improved Active Band, making it more comfortable to wear. To enhance user convenience, Google is ditching the pin connectors from the Pixel Watch 3 in favor of wireless charging for the Pixel Watch 4.

The event is also expected to see the launch of the Pixel Buds 2a, a new iteration of Google’s wireless earbuds. Additionally, Google may unveil new accessories such as a new Pixel Stand that's compatible with the PixelSnap technology, which could bring Qi2 magnetic wireless charging to the Pixel 10 range.

Android 16, the new OS version, will power the Pixel 10 series. This release will feature a revamped Material 3 Expressive UI and deeper integration of generative AI technologies across Google Assistant and productivity tools, representing a significant software advancement focusing on AI-driven user experience enhancements.

Google's Made by Google event on August 20 promises to be a showcase of the company's commitment to iterative hardware improvements paired with significant software and AI advancements. With the unveiling of the Pixel 10 series, Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Buds 2a, and various other products, it's an exciting time for tech enthusiasts. Last year's event saw the launch of the Pixel 9 series, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, and this year's event is expected to be no less spectacular.

The Pixel 10 series, featuring various gadgets like the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the highly anticipated Pixel 10 Pro Fold, will be equipped with the new Tensor G5 chip for improved performance and power efficiency.
