Anthropic Unveils Claude Sonnet 4.5: Most Powerful Language Model Yet
Anthropic has unveiled Claude Sonnet 4.5, its latest and most powerful language model. The model has shown impressive results in various benchmarks and is now available via the Claude API.
Claude Sonnet 4.5 has outperformed all tested models in the SWE-bench Verified benchmark. Anthropic is currently offering a real-time experiment called 'Imagine with Claude', allowing users to experience the model's software generation capabilities.
The model has demonstrated remarkable endurance, maintaining focus on complex tasks for over 30 hours according to internal tests. In the OSWorld benchmark, Sonnet 4.5 reached a peak of 61.4 percent, a significant improvement from Sonnet 4's 42.2 percent four months ago.
Developed by Anthropic, Sonnet 4.5 is particularly strong in software development, computer operation, and automation. It has shown improvements in mathematics, logical thinking, and domain-specific knowledge compared to previous Claude models. The model is available worldwide via Claude.ai and various developer platforms since its release on September 29, 2025.
Anthropic has also updated the Claude Code development tool with new features like checkpoints and a revamped terminal interface. Additionally, the company has released the Claude Agent SDK for developing own AI agents.
Claude Sonnet 4.5 is now available via the Claude API at competitive pricing tiers of 3 or 15 US dollars per million tokens. With its impressive performance and new features, the model is set to become a valuable tool for developers and businesses alike.
