Allows Hamburg to showcase at Hannover Trade Fair
The Hannover Trade Fair, the world's largest industrial fair, is back on-site after the pandemic, and Hamburg is making a significant impact. The city and its metropolitan region are presenting themselves as a future green hydrogen hub at this year's event, which runs from the 30th of May to the 2nd of June.
The Countdown for Hydrogen Days 2022 is running, and for good reason. Hamburg is already one of the leading green hydrogen regions in Europe, with uses ranging from generation and electrolysis to industrial use, network infrastructure, hydrogen import, and sustainable mobility of ships, aircraft, and commercial vehicles.
The city of Hamburg, along with its partners, is driving the decarbonization of industry and the development of a green hydrogen economy. This focus on renewable energies is confirmed by an OECD study, which highlights the north of Germany as well-suited for the expansion of a green hydrogen economy.
