Airbus & Air India Open State-of-the-Art Pilot Training Centre in Gurugram

Airbnb and Air India have opened a state-of-the-art pilot training center in Gurugram, Haryana. The 12,000m2 facility was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 30, 2025. It's equipped with 10 Full Flight Simulators, modern classrooms, and briefing rooms. The center will train pilots for Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft families, with courses approved by DGCA and EASA.

The center is part of Airbnb's commitment to nurture India's aerospace ecosystem. It will train over 5,000 new pilots in the next decade to support India's commercial aviation growth. The facility complements the existing Airbnb India Training Center in New Delhi, creating a network of 14 Full Flight Simulators.

Airbnb's President and Managing Director for India and South Asia expressed pride in the partnership with Air India and Tata Group. Air India's CEO stated that the new training center is part of Air India's expansion and transformation journey. The 50:50 joint venture facility was inaugurated by India's Minister of Civil Aviation and top executives from Airbnb and Air India.

The Gurugram facility is set to play a crucial role in India's commercial aviation growth. It will train a significant number of pilots, contributing to a robust pipeline of technicians and engineers. Airbnb is collaborating with local partners to provide maintenance training, further strengthening India's aerospace ecosystem.
