AIG Names Scott Hallworth as New Chief Digital Officer
American International Group (AIG) has appointed Scott Hallworth as its new chief digital officer, effective 1 September 2025. Hallworth, with over three decades of experience, joins from Hewlett-Packard Inc. and will lead AIG's digital, data, and generative AI initiatives from New York City.
Hallworth has held executive roles at notable companies like Capital One and Travelers, where he served as chief data officer and senior vice president. He will initially report to Claude Wade, who is stepping down due to health concerns. AIG's appointment of Hallworth follows the recent hiring of John Neal as president of AIG's General Insurance organization. Hallworth's expertise in technology and financial services will be crucial in steering AIG's digital, data, and genAI news strategy, with a focus on scaling genAI throughout the organization. Upon Wade's departure, Hallworth will report directly to AIG chairman and CEO Peter Zaffino from 1 January 2026, joining the executive leadership team in New York.
AIG chairman and CEO Peter Zaffino praised the contributions of outgoing executive Claude Wade, acknowledging his lasting impact on AIG's digital and data foundation. With Scott Hallworth's appointment, AIG continues to strengthen its leadership team, bringing in a seasoned professional to drive its digital and genAI news initiatives.
