AI Startup Anything Raises $11M, Empowering Users to Build Apps Without Coding
San Francisco-based startup Anything has made waves in the AI app development scene. Their innovative platform enables users to build mobile and web applications using natural language prompts, without any coding. The company has just raised $11 million in a Series A round, led by Footwork with participation from M13.
Anything's platform addresses a common challenge with AI coding tools - production-ready apps with backend infrastructure, authentication, and payment systems. It has grown rapidly, boasting over 700,000 registered users and $2 million in annual recurring revenue just two weeks post-launch.
The platform's autonomous AI engineer, Anything Max, has proven effective. During beta, Max independently resolved 95% of complex user-reported bugs. Max tests apps in real environments, detects bugs, and ships fixes without user intervention.
Anything aims to empower users to build AI apps without coding. It has achieved a strong net revenue retention rate of 120% in its first month, with users generating revenue from applications launched directly on the platform.
Anything has raised $19.5 million in total funding, with a valuation of $100 million. The latest round was led by Footwork, with participation from M13 and previous investors including Bessemer Venture Partners and Uncork Capital. The startup plans to use the new funding to continue scaling and shift the paradigm from coding assistants to autonomous development teams.
