Advanced AI-Powered Motion Analysis Enhances Accurate 3D Tracking in SynthEyes by Boris FX

SynthEyes 2025.5, the latest release from Boris FX, is making waves in the world of 3D tracking with its focus on AI-assisted motion estimation, flexible lens workflows, and Parent Mesh to Tracker. These enhancements aim to streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and improve accuracy for professional 3D tracking artists.

One of the key features of SynthEyes 2025.5 is the introduction of a new machine learning-based motion estimation model. This model improves auto-tracking performance, particularly on challenging footage that is blurry, flickery, or occluded. The AI-driven dense, per-pixel motion vectors result in more stable and precise tracking, requiring less cleanup work, lower noise values, and better tracker prediction.

The Flexible Lens Workflow export has also been revamped. This workflow offers a non-destructive, export-only approach, allowing users to undistort or redistort imagery on export without altering the original solve or timeline. This new workflow provides control over margin, resolution, and compatibility, ensuring export consistency across various applications and pipelines.

Another significant improvement is the Parent Mesh to Tracker feature. This feature allows geometry to be parented directly to trackers within the viewport, ensuring meshes and their pivots stay perfectly synced with the tracked objects as the solve changes. This improvement significantly speeds up layout and iteration by preventing geometry from becoming "orphaned" or detached during complex tracking.

SynthEyes 2025.5 also supports direct 17K RAW footage and offers a dedicated LUTs folder. It is available as a low-cost standalone application, priced at $325 per year.
