Aagama Ventures Launches INR 400 Cr Fintech Fund

Aagama Ventures has launched a INR 400 Cr (around $45 Mn) fund dedicated to backing early-stage fintech startups. The fund aims to close by the end of 2025, with institutional investors and family offices expected to participate.

The fund will invest in 4-5 startups annually, with a ticket size ranging from INR 8 Cr to 15 Cr. It plans to support 15 to 20 startups in total, with around 50% reserved for follow-on investments. Aagama Ventures will focus on three sub-sectors: payments, banking and lending, and startups utilising AI, data engineering, and cybersecurity.

The fund has already received commitments from prominent fintech founders and veterans, including Mayang Goyal, Naveen Kukreja, Bhavesh Gupta, and Abhijit Singh. In Q3 2025, fintech startups raised $281 Mn across 20 deals, indicating a strong investment environment. In the first half of the year, fintech was the most funded sector, with startups raising over $1.5 Bn via 68 deals.

Aagama Ventures' new fund will support early-stage fintech startups, focusing on specific sectors like agriculture, health, and energy. With a strong pipeline of deals and prominent backers, the fund is well-positioned to capitalise on the growing fintech investment landscape.
