A skilled metallurgist successfully fabricates an astounding 30-meter duplicate of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

Jean-Claude Fassler, a retired metallurgical technician, has embarked on an ambitious project - building a replica of the iconic Eiffel Tower. The tower, which will stand at approximately 30 meters tall, is a 1/10 scale model of the original structure, painted in the same "Venice" red colour as Gustave Eiffel's design from 1889.

Fassler's dream goes beyond mere construction. He dreams of sleeping on the first floor of his miniature tower, effectively having an "apartment" inside the replica. If he achieves this dream, Fassler will be able to say he had an apartment in the Eiffel Tower.

The original Eiffel Tower, a symbol of France, was much larger than the planned replica. It was built for the World's Fair celebrating the centennial of the French Revolution in 1889. The tower was the first structure in the world to reach 330 meters in height, a feat that still stands as an impressive accomplishment.

Gustave Eiffel, an experienced bridge and viaduct engineer, designed the Eiffel Tower to withstand wind. The tower was initially granted a license to stand for 20 years, but it ended up remaining due to its popularity and practical uses, such as broadcasting radio signals.

The colour of the original Eiffel Tower during its construction 136 years ago was red. The replica will be painted in the same colour, a unique feature that sets it apart from other replicas. However, it is not clear if the replica will be open to the public or if it will be a private project.

Fassler found reproductions of the original designs and decided to take action to build the replica. The location and specifics of where he plans to build the tower are not yet known. Once completed, Fassler plans to sell the tower to recoup his investment.

The Eiffel Tower became a symbol of France and continues to be a major tourist attraction today. Its enduring appeal and Fassler's determination to build a smaller replica are a testament to the tower's timeless allure.

The manufacturing industry could potentially be involved in creating the replica Eiffel Tower, as Jean-Claude Fassler plans to build it and intends to sell it for finance. Given Fassler's background as a metallurgical technician, he might prefer working with technology and engineering for constructing the tower.
