New 2026 Hyundai Palisade Redesign Offers Premium Comfort and Technology at an Affordable Price

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade has undergone a significant redesign, offering a more luxurious and tech-forward three-row SUV at a competitive price point.

The new Palisade features a 3.5L V-6 engine that generates 287 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options are available. The SUV boasts enhanced sound-dampening materials, including acoustic glass on the windshield and front side windows, for a quieter ride.

Key features of the redesigned Palisade include an in-car intercom system, configurable ambient lighting, a dual-pane sunroof, head-up display, surround-view monitor, two USB-C charging ports in every row, and a large UV-C sterilization compartment. Standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and advanced driver aids such as forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, front and rear parking sensors, and a new safe-exit warning system are also included. The top-tier Calligraphy trim adds front and rear exterior cameras that activate while driving or when motion is detected while parked.

Performance-wise, the 2026 Palisade provides a smooth, comfortable ride, though the steering and brake pedal feel may be slightly less responsive compared to the previous generation. Acceleration is slightly slower, with an estimated 6.6 seconds to 60 mph for the all-wheel-drive model. A 329-hp hybrid version is expected to begin production in fall 2025 but will not be available at launch.

Pricing for the redesigned Palisade starts at $40,430 for the front-wheel-drive SE model and can reach around $60,000 for the all-wheel-drive Calligraphy trim. The Palisade arrives in September at Hyundai's U.S. stores, positioning it as a feature-rich contender in the midsize three-row SUV segment.

The redesigned Palisade's interior features a new curved panoramic display, integrating dual 12.3-inch screens under a single sheet of glass. The wireless phone charger accommodates larger phones than the 2025 model. Touch-capacitive controls now accompany physical toggles for audio and climate, balancing aesthetics with usability. The Calligraphy trims of the redesigned Palisade feature upscale materials like Nappa leather, ambient lighting, and satin-finished trim. Plentiful USB-C ports are easily accessible in all three rows of the redesigned Palisade.

The redesigned 2026 Hyundai Palisade incorporates design cues inspired by midcentury modern styling, similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 9 electric 3-row CUV. The second-generation Palisade is assembled at Hyundai's Ulsan, South Korea, plant. The update brings seven trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, Calligraphy, Calligraphy Night, and Black Ink editions.

The redesigned Palisade has a 2.7-inch stretch in wheelbase and slight gains in width and height, providing more room in all three rows. U.S. sales of the Palisade rose 6.8% in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. The 2026 redesign gives the Palisade a more sweeping, Range Rover-esque silhouette, making it 2.5 inches longer overall than the outgoing generation.

Dealers are receiving orders for the redesigned Palisade, which arrives in September at Hyundai's U.S. stores. The Palisade proved impressively composed during testing, with precise steering, tight body control, and a quiet cabin. The redesigned center console provides more usable storage. The second-row acoustic glass is extended for a quieter ride.
